Strategy gets clearer. People start really hearing each other. Decisions hold, because everyone around the table is finally pulling toward the same thing.
You don't find your way there through a strategic plan or a process map. You find it in conversation. The slow, generous kind. Sitting across from someone who has spent thirty-five years watching organizations come together and fall apart, and who can gently point to the thing you've been standing too close to see. That's the work I love doing with the people I get to walk alongside. Call it consulting if you like. I think of it as a relationship.
Maybe you're a leader who can feel something is off. The team isn't quite gelling. The work isn't quite flowing. You keep solving the same problem, and it keeps showing up wearing different clothes. Here's the good news: you already know what's true. What you're really looking for is your fluidity again, that easy sense of motion you used to trust.
I'd love to help you find your way back to it.
Everything at KVN Partners begins with the same belief: leaders make better decisions when they can see the situation more clearly. Consulting, publishing, and songwriting are different ways of exploring that work.
For most clients, the work begins here. We help leaders see what isn't yet obvious in what's already in front of them before deciding what comes next.
Strategy, culture, and communication are usually treated as separate problems. They grow stronger when leaders stop solving each one on its own and start seeing them as parts of the same system.
Ideas that prove useful deserve a longer life than a single engagement.
Quill & Current publishes Kate Van Name's books, which expand the models, frameworks, and philosophies behind the consulting. Each year it also works with a few authors, chosen with care, whose work invites thoughtful conversation.
Sometimes ideas are best understood through artistic expression.
The Kinetic Experience creates original songs, artist collaborations, and commissioned pieces that mark the moments that matter — leadership transitions, company milestones, family legacies, public campaigns.
Most people in my line of work will ask for a call before you've really had a chance to know whether we're a good match for one another. I'd love for you to meet me on the page first.
Spend a little time with one of my three books. Perhaps you're drawn to the idea of living well in The Wellth Wave, or curious about leadership and the way organizations find their rhythm in The Kinetic Tide, or thinking about the future of human connection and AI in Currents of Connection. Choose whichever one calls to you. By the end of a chapter or two, you'll have a good sense of whether the way I see things feels like a way you'd like to think alongside someone.
And then, if it feels like a fit, I'd love to talk.
NOTE: The first sixty pages of each are free to read on Amazon.
